Original race car painting by Gale Frost, who started and ran the Minnesota State Fair History Center, which was originally housed in a couple of vintage passenger train cars at the north end of the fair in Heritage Square before the new History Building was built to house the collection.

This painting commemorates 3-time IMCA champion Emory Collins (of Le Mars, IA) racing his #7 roadster at the MN State Fair Speedway in 1938.

24” x 24”, enamel on Masonite. The last photo is a partial view (right edge can be seen at the very left of upper row of paintings) of this painting in 2008 when it was hanging in the original train car history museum.
